Brook Browning, MPT is originally from Hurricane, WV. Brook earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from West Virginia University in 2002, graduating summa cum laude and is a University Honors Scholar. Brook has experience in multiple physical therapy settings including acute care services, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient neurologic services and outpatient orthopedic services. Her primary interest is in women's health specialization services including incontinence, pelvic pain and musculoskeletal changes related to pregnancy. She also has furthered her education to include treating male pelvic pain and incontinence. She is a participant in the Triangle Women's Health Study group, a conglomerate of physical therapists who specialize in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. She has also served as a guest speaker for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and other local support groups and wellness programs. Brook strives to provide the best care possible to each and every patient. Her philosophy is to treat every patient as if they are her family member. She is dedicated to improving the quality of life in women of the Fayetteville community and beyond.
Becky Bliss, MPT is originally from Orange County, NY and graduated from Ithaca College in 2001 with her M.S. in Physical Therapy. She has worked in a variety of treatment settings with a vast patient population that allows her to bring great knowledge, skill and understanding to her patients. She is Certified in Neurological Development Treatment (NDT) in the adult population as well as a Certified Vestibular Rehab Specialist through Emory University and the APTA. She has been treating the specialized neurological population to include: Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Progressive Neurological diseases such as MS and Parkinson's, and Vestibular Dysfunction for over 3 years. Becky's spouse is active duty Army and she brings great understanding of the military culture as well as what it takes to recover and return to duty. She runs a local Wounded Warrior Support Group for active duty and injured veterans as well. Becky specializes in the treatment of mild TBI Blast Injury and has taken many specific continuing education courses in that specialty area as well as taught along the Eastern United States on Mild TBI and Vestibular Rehab. She strives in giving one-on-one, specific, individualized treatment to neurological patients to return them to optimal functional independence.
Susan Harding is a North Carolina native. In 2008 she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University. In 2010 she graduated with her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences which is located in St. Augustine, FL. She is excited to be back living in North Carolina. Susan has a wide range of experience, working with everything from inpatient, orthopedic and cardiovascular patients, to traumatic brain injuries. Susan also has specialized training in manual therapy as well as pioneering new treatments for increased neuronal functioning. Susan is passionate about helping patients achieve and sustain quality of life through therapeutic interventions.
Ryan Peryer hails from Malone, a small rural area in Northeastern New York. A 2008 graduate from the University at Buffalo with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Ryan was chosen by faculty as the student demonstrating "Leadership in Physical Therapy". Ryan brings three years of experience in diverse patient populations in both the outpatient and acute in-patient settings. Ryan's passion is teaching, and he is an American Physical Therapy Association accredited Clinical Instructor. In his spare time, Ryan is a volunteer assistant wrestling coach at South View High School.
Brittany grew up in Burlington, NC. She graduated from Meredith College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and from East Carolina University in 2011 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Brittany is trained in the Graston Technique®, a technique using stainless steel instruments to assist in the treatment of soft tissue abnormalities for chronic, acute and post-surgical populations. She plans to continue her training in the Graston Technique® as well as in other manual therapy skills. Brittany enjoys working with a wide variety of patients of all ages. She has a passion for improving the quality of life of each individual patient by promoting a healthy lifestyle and providing a personalized treatment plan that empowers them to take an active role in their rehabilitation process.
Tonya Sykes joined Activcare Physical Therapy's Fayetteville office as our Front Desk/Patient Relations coordinator. Tonys is a native of Fayetteville and brings to Activcare six years of direct experience in physical therapy rehab and a total of 11 years in medical office administration. She assists patients at the front desk and patients with financial responsibilities, insurance eligibility, obtaining pre-authorizations for required services and schedule appointments. She is a wonderful addition to the team and always approaches each day with a smile. The patients and staff truly appreciate her hard work and positive attitude. She certainly makes our patients' visits an enjoyable experience.
Christy McCoy joined Activcare Physical Therapy's Fayetteville office as a Front Desk/Patient Relations Coordinator. Christy received her Associates Degree in Medical Business and Office Technology from Flint River Technical College. She brings five years experience in Outpatient Physical Therapy Office working front desk and patient relations providing front line customer services to meet the many non-clinical needs of our patients.
